Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive (SMO & Video Optimization/Marketing)

Job Overview

The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies with a special focus on Social Media Optimization (SMO) and Video Optimization & Marketing. This role involves developing comprehensive plans, managing daily/weekly/monthly tasks, and analyzing performance metrics to ensure growth in brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities

One-Time Tasks

  1. Digital Marketing Strategy Setup
    • Develop a comprehensive digital marketing plan spanning SEO, SMO, video marketing, and paid campaigns.
    • Identify target audiences, suitable platforms, and performance metrics specifically for SMO and video marketing.
    • Set up analytics and tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, YouTube Studio) to capture essential performance data.
  2. Social Media Profile Optimization
    • Create and/or optimize company profiles on relevant social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
    • Ensure brand consistency across all channels (logos, banners, messaging).
  3. Video Marketing Framework Setup
    • Establish a framework for video creation (scripts, thumbnails, SEO-friendly titles, descriptions).
    • Generate a list of video topics that align with audience interests and business objectives.

Daily Tasks

  1. Social Media Content Posting and Engagement (SMO)
    • Post engaging content (images, videos, infographics) according to the content calendar.
    • Respond to comments, messages, and queries in a timely manner to foster community engagement.
  2. Video Optimization
    • Publish and optimize videos on YouTube and other platforms (tagging, keyword integration, thumbnails, end screens).
    • Ensure each video is SEO-friendly and resonates with the identified target audience.
  3. Performance Monitoring
    • Track SMO and video performance metrics (reach, views, CTR, engagement).
    • Identify areas for immediate improvement and make necessary adjustments.

Weekly Tasks

  1. SMO Campaign Planning and Execution
    • Develop and launch targeted SMO campaigns to increase followers, boost engagement, and drive website traffic.
    • Utilize trending hashtags, reels, and stories to maximize visibility.
  2. Video Content Production and Distribution
    • Collaborate with content/design teams to produce engaging videos for social media, YouTube, and the website.
    • Distribute videos across all relevant platforms and, if necessary, execute paid promotions.
  3. Competitor Analysis
    • Examine competitors’ social media and video marketing strategies to identify any gaps or opportunities.
  4. Reporting and Team Collaboration
    • Prepare weekly reports focusing on SMO and video marketing performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
    • Communicate insights to relevant stakeholders to refine ongoing strategies.

Monthly Tasks

  1. Comprehensive SMO and Video Campaign Analysis
    • Conduct an in-depth review of SMO and video marketing initiatives.
    • Analyze audience retention, video views, CTR, and ROI to identify top-performing tactics.
  2. SEO and SMO Integration
    • Coordinate SMO strategies with overarching SEO goals by incorporating relevant keywords and backlinks.
  3. Content Calendar Review and Update
    • Revise the content calendar based on insights gained from SMO and video performance.
    • Plan new trends, formats, and campaigns for the upcoming month.
  4. Team Training and Knowledge Sharing
    • Stay informed about the latest SMO and video marketing tools and best practices.
    • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for the broader marketing or cross-functional teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in digital marketing, SMO, and video marketing (portfolio or case studies desirable).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, basic SEO tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and metrics, translating them into actionable insights.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong writing and interpersonal skills; capacity to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Agility in learning and implementing emerging social media and video marketing trends.
